Finally after 200 pages, this is Ayse’s response to the question posed by Safiye to Zeynel way back in Book 1.

I was working through a lot of stuff at the time – like Ayse I had (and still do have) a vision for myself in the future I could see very clearly and wanted to achieve so badly, but had no clue about the means to get there. That anxiety ate me up for a long time, until it blew into a quarter-life crisis.

Kinda funny how life works, and how this entire webcomic, which was a reflection of my anxieties and vision, became the means to break out of the crisis and live the life I do now. I’ll forever be grateful.

So all these words that Ayse is saying… they are rooted in lived experience!!!

And here’s the title drop! Zeynel and Ayse both share the role of the title character. In Book 4 we will get a scene from Zeynel’s POV that parallels and echoes this scene.
