Previously in 2016 I had to severely abridge (like, really severely) the Surah al-Fatihah due to lack of space on the page. This time I am showing more of it, by rejigging that 3-set panel of Khalil.

The Surah al-Fatihah is the first of the Quran, and plays an important part for many of the praying rituals, including the praying ritual for the dead. Again, due to page constaints I had to imply the performance of the prayer … though it’s not like Zeynel is at the physical, mental and spiritual state to perform the ritual for us to see. :/

The Istirjā “To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return” is another key phrase, with one of its use cases being its recital during someone’s passing. It’s also my favourite verse from the Quran.
